Lately I’ve been dealing with what I can only describe as burnout: constant tiredness, brain fog, and feeling like my nervous system is always “on.” I’ve tried regular vinyasa classes but sometimes they make me feel more drained, not energized.
A friend keeps telling me restorative yoga is basically made for burnout recovery, and I’m seeing it everywhere (apps, studios, YouTube). Why is restorative yoga so popular for burnout recovery specifically? Is it just because it’s easy, or is there something deeper happening (like with breathing or the nervous system)?
Also, if you’ve used restorative yoga when you were overwhelmed, what actually helped you—poses, props, the slow pacing, or just finally allowing rest? I’m not looking for medical advice, just personal experiences and general info.
