Hi everyone, I’m looking for yoga poses that help with anxiety before sleep. Lately I get that wired-but-tired feeling at night: my mind replays the day, I get a tight chest, and I scroll way too long just to distract myself. I’m not trying to do a workout, more like a short routine (10–20 minutes) that actually helps me settle down.
I’ve tried Child’s Pose and it sometimes helps, but other nights my thoughts still race. Are there specific poses (or breathing patterns) that are better for calming anxiety before bed? Also, is it better to hold poses longer, or do gentle movement? Any tips for making it a consistent bedtime thing would be appreciated. (And yes, I know anxiety can be bigger than yoga—if it matters, I’m also considering talking to a therapist.)
