I’m trying to pick a yoga style that actually helps with mindfulness, not just stretching. I’ve done a few random YouTube flows (mostly vinyasa) and I notice I’m thinking about my to-do list the whole time. When I finally slow down and focus on breathing, I feel calmer, but I don’t know if that’s the “right” type of class or just my mood.
My goals: less anxiety, better focus, and a practice I can stick to after work (30–45 min). I’m not super flexible and I get overwhelmed in fast classes. What type of yoga is best for mindfulness in real life—Hatha, Yin, Kundalini, Yoga Nidra, something else? And if you have tips on what to look for in a teacher/class, I’d love that too.
