Hi everyone, I’m a bit confused and hoping for real-life explanations. I’ve been doing beginner yoga classes for a few months (mostly gentle flow), and I keep hearing people say “Kundalini yoga is basically meditation” while others say it’s totally different.
When I look online, it’s a mix of breathwork, chanting, movement, and then sitting… so is Kundalini yoga a type of meditation, or is meditation something separate you do after? Also, what does it actually feel like in practice (like during a class), and is it okay for someone who’s not super flexible and gets anxious easily?
I’m not trying to start a debate, I just want to understand the difference between Kundalini yoga and meditation in a simple, honest way before I try a class. Thanks 💜
