Hi everyone, I’m new-ish to yoga and I keep seeing classes labeled “Hatha” or “Vinyasa” and I’m honestly not sure what I’m signing up for 😅
For context: I work at a desk all day, I’m stiff in my shoulders/hips, and I want something that helps flexibility and stress. I tried one vinyasa class once and it felt like cardio with poses (I got lost a few times). Then I did a hatha class and it was slower, but I wasn’t sure if it was “too easy” or just more focused.
Can someone explain, in normal-person terms, the real difference between hatha yoga and vinyasa yoga? And which one is better for beginners or for building strength without feeling overwhelmed? תודה/thanks!
