Hi everyone 🌿 I keep seeing “sacred feminine yoga” in studio schedules and online, and I’m honestly confused about what it actually is. Is it just a softer style like yin, or is it more like a spiritual/energy thing?
For context: I’m 31, I do vinyasa once a week, and lately I’ve been feeling super stressed and kind of disconnected from my body (desk job, always in my head). The name sounds beautiful but also a little influencer-y, so I don’t know what to expect in class. Is it tied to any real yoga tradition? Is it only for women? What would a typical session include (breathwork, hip openers, chanting, journaling?)
If you’ve practiced it, I’d love a clear explanation—like what “sacred feminine yoga” means, what the goals are, and any red flags to watch for. Thanks 🙏
