Hi everyone 🌿 I keep seeing “restorative yoga” on class schedules and YouTube, but I’m honestly not sure what it actually is. Is it basically like yin? Or like nap-yoga? 😅
Context: I’ve done a few vinyasa classes and I like the movement, but lately my stress is high (work + doomscrolling) and I’m craving something calming that won’t make me feel like I’m failing at poses. I also get a stiff neck/shoulders from my laptop.
What happens in a restorative yoga class? Do you still stretch a lot, do you sweat, do you need flexibility? And what props do you actually need at home (blankets, bolsters, blocks)?
Would love a clear explanation from people who’ve tried it. Thanks!
