Hi everyone 💜 I keep seeing “heart opening yoga” in class descriptions and on YouTube, but I’m not totally sure what it actually means.
Is it just backbends like camel and wheel, or is it more of an emotional/energy thing? I have a desk job so my shoulders are always rounded, and I’d love something that helps my posture… but I’m also a bit nervous because sometimes deep chest stretches feel intense (and weirdly emotional?).
If you practice heart opening yoga, what does a typical session include, and how do you do it safely without wrecking your lower back? Any beginner-friendly tips are welcome.
