Hi everyone, I’ve been practicing yoga for about a year (mostly vinyasa at home + one class a week). I’m comfortable with Tree and Warrior III on a good day, but anything “advanced balancing” feels mysterious. When people say advanced balancing yoga poses, what do they actually mean—arm balances, one-leg standing, inversions, all of it?
I’m not trying to rush or show off, I just want a clearer list of poses that are considered advanced balancing, and what skills they usually require (core, shoulders, hip openness, focus, etc.). Also, any safer progressions would be super appreciated because my wrists sometimes complain and I don’t want to push through pain. Thanks!
